£250 off the last few places on our May Fleece to Felt craft holiday in the Scottish Highlands!
We have two places left on our May craft holiday, perfect for either two to share or a solo traveller. Join us for a wonderfully relaxing week of wool based craft in the Highlands of Scotland. Learn the whole process from Fleece to Felt…watch Alex hand-shear one of our Shetland sheep, then learn how to sort and wash fleece. Next forage for dye plants and dye your fleece using natural dyes outdoors over fires, creating about 20 beautiful natural shades.
Turn your beautiful hand-dyed fleece into a wonderful needle felted sculpture with Fi Oberon, who is one of the UK’s most renowned needle felters..or if you prefer to learn to wet felt that is also an option. This year Fi has been concentrating her work on Venus figurines and she can show us how to make one from fleece- you can also make whatever you fancy or see what inspires you over the week. We will take time out to visit crofts and walk in one of Scotland’s most beautiful glens (Glen Affric).
Guests stay at the Old Stables which is a beautifully converted farm building with all the luxuries of a modern build, but the lovely feeling of an old building. Step out the door to walks along the river or into the woods.
The week runs from Saturday May 25th -June 1st 2019 and we pick all our guests up from Inverness, which can be easily reached by train or plane (Easyjet, Flybe). Overseas travellers often fly into London, Glasgow or Edinburgh and either fly or get the train up to Inverness (a lovely journey).
The week is normally £945 (to share a twin) but we are offering £250 making it £695 (to share a twin). A single room would now be £795.
