We have just finished our fleece to felt week for this year. We had an excellent group of people and a lovely week. We had a great dyeing session making nearly 30 shades of colour, we visited Nathalie on her farm, where we saw her beautiful Shetland sheep, we also had a a shearing demonstation from her husband Euan.
The group made a beautiful communal wall hanging, which was felted Mongolian style with Ian’s Highland Pony. Michelle gave a wonderful spinning demonstration one evening and we spent another at the Struy Inn enjoying traditional music, from local musicians. We just about had time left to see Glen Affric and Plodda falls -two very inspiring locations. Finally…the week ended with two days of felt-making and some beautiful projects. It was a pleasure to run this week -so much craft with some great people! If you are interested in joining us next year for a craft holiday in the Highlands of Scotland, the week will be running from the second week of July, just in time for shearing!
