The site the house is going to be built on, is a little awkward, sloping and rocky. With help from Ian and Julian and their diggers we have managed to put a beautiful access track in, create a patch of garden (grass already growing!), terrace and dig down for the foundations. Julian and his 20 tonne digger made light work of the bedrock, leaving the site ready for the foundations.
We planted a few bulbs, apple trees and strawberry plants, to make it feel a bit more homely once the spring comes. Alex will take out more of the trees to create more sunshine on the site in the new year.
