Learn to needle felt a picture using naturally dyed fleece
We are so excited to welcome Karen Price next year, who will be joining us in June 2020 on our new ‘Fleece to Needle Felt A Picture’ craft course! Karen is well known in Highland’s for her stunning needle felted works of art. Karen creates beautiful needle felted pictures, including local landscapes and animals, she is well known for her Highland cows and hares. She has a had a number of successful exhibitions and has her own workshop and small gallery space in Cannich, where she works and sells her pieces.
Karen creates whole pictures using a needle, all dry felted, no wet felting involved. The details she creates with a needle is amazing. Karen normally runs days workshops, so it is a real treat to have her working with us over our craft course. Our June craft holiday, will run from Monday to Saturday and will include a day and a half of natural dyeing in the woods, dyeing local fleece using plant dyes… Followed by half a day exploring Glen Affric, ending with 2 days needle felting workshop, an original picture with Karen inspired by our local landscapes. A complete craft retreat. The Highlands of Scotland are such an inspiring place to go and get creative.
